Default gsr pistons in b16

Is putting gsr pistons into a b16 a good way of lowering the compression and is it a direct bolt in

I have done P72-ao pistons for 8.9-9.0ish C/R in a B16. Another option is USDM P73 pistons to achieve 9.7 C/R, but requires the rods to be machined 1mm on the small end or material taken from the wrispin area of the piston.
For me it was a cheap way of lowering the C/R a little and still retain my strange fetish with OEM internals.

yes, the GSR pistons are the same for a b16, direct fit. theyre the exact same size, so JE doesnt even advertise pistons for the b16, they just have them listed for the gsr.

If you're going to the trouble of swapping pistons you might as well go forged with some eagle rods while you have the motor apart. It's not that much more for forged pistons vs. new GSR's.

i got these gsr pistons for free and i heard that it was a good way to lower the compression in a b16 im dealing with all jdm parts here cause im from jamaica so when i swap the pistons i would get a compression of about 9.5: 1 which i think is good enough for a t3/t4 at 9psi
