GSR Differential strength???
i have a stock gsr tranny in my car and plan to put down around 400 on pump gas. i know im gonna have some serious traction problems and i eventually want to get a quaiffe but unfortunatley its not in my budget now. to sum it all up i just want to know how well the factory diff will hold up with a lot of power but definitely no slicks. and this is a daily driven 99si

Re: GSR Differential strength??? (99B16Si)
From our testing I have conluded that if you run a 25 or larger slick you will def. be in danger of breaking a diff with 300+ hp. I have broken both axles and a diff on 24.5x8x13's in a 350 hp integra, but I side stepped the clutch.

yeah I would like to know this as well, cause Im plaining on hittin 400whp max, but I would run around on 390whp on pumped gas with a FMAX stage 2 and its gonna be daily driven as well, but since I got the SI rims on some 15's. So wouldnt thicker 15's would be fine? or up the tire size?

Re: (Evil DOHC)
im not referring to slicks. i drive around on falken azenis pretty much yearround and dont lauch my car hard ever...even if i did it would just spin everywhere. but once traction occurs in 3rd or 4th i was curious if the amount of power going thru the diff will be too much for it.

You should be fine because the car is in motion.
