Default Greddy VS JY/Custom Kit?

Kinda new to turbos, I am unsure as to what setup would be the best for the money here. I want 180-200whp for now. My two thoughts:

Greddy Kit bout $1400 used with fmic etc..
(Has all the components needed along with the FMU)

OR

T3 from T-Bird $70
FMIC 6 inch (JohnnyRacecar) $240
Piping (JC Whitney or Jegs) $120 with clamps
Used manifold (Log Style) $300
Fuel FMU $100
Downpipe $100

Wastegate - Newb here - What is the difference between a internal and external one and I also see some manifolds with the wastegate on there??? Need explanation please. $100

Oil feed Line $45
MAP Sensor Bypass $10
BOV $150

Total $1235

Which would you guys pick? Is the FMU enough for that HP level?

given those two choices, Greddy 100% why? its complete. all you need to make 200+ WHP easy. no mickey mouse chopping, JB welding or hunting for missing parts or forcing things to fit.

i would also vote for greddy. your new to turbos so that would be a good choice. once you know what your doing more sell the greddy and make your own.

as for internaly and externally gate... gah i dont know how to explain it. search it .

Well, if you are going to go custom, get better fuel management. That's the big advantage to going custom. Also, don't pay 70 bucks for a turbo. It's the most important part of your setup. If you buy it used, make sure it is fresh off of a rebuild. In your case I'd just pick up that hreddy kit.

A good friend of mine just dynoed his car w/ the greddy kit.

He has roughly 1800 invested into it, but keep in mind he bought the kit brand new for around 1400-1500. The link has his setup.

His car starts up perfect, runs strong, and drives like a stock turbo car
