Default Greddy Type S problem/question?

I was just wondering why the bov flutters. I even tried adjusting it in both directions (soft and hard) and it still flutters. The bov is mounted in the charge pipe and it does not seem to leak before then.

I even pulled the screw all the way out with the allen wrench and i was under the impression that air is supposed to come out of the bov at idle, however, it does not seem like any air is coming out of the bov (or it could just be so freaking cold here that I couldn't feel anything).

I'm running .45 bars and I'm hitting it no problem per the Greddy turbo guage.

Any ideas?

[edit]
also forgot to mention that the lower nipple is NOT hooked up.

some people mentioned that their is a "break in time" on the spring. Can someone tell me about how long it takes before its broken in? Also that fluttering sound i think is surge

do not put anything on the lower nipple, nothing is suppose to go there.

if you put the setting all the way loose and sure its still surging, you could always open her up and take out one spring (there are two), and try to see if that works, but i dont see why its surging w/ the setting all the way loose.

anyways, try that first and see if that helps the problem. however, there may be a possibility it could leak boost, but i doubt it, my friend is running just one spring on his greddy type s on his VW 1.8t

lower nipple is definately not hooked up. I don't know if i'm getting a leak...if i did wouldn't it show in the boost guage? I"m running .45 bars and on the greddy its showing around .4 or so which seems good with pressure loss and unit conversion.

I have some DSM friends that have had the same issue. They actually hook a vacuum source from the outlet on the turbo to the lower nipple on the BOV. That has solved it on both cars that I have seen it happen on.
