Greddy Type S BOV?

Does anyone know what the smaller hose connector spike on the type-s blow-off valve is for? I know the larger one is for manifold pressure.

You really could do a search on this sence I know its been covered but that bottom nipple is supposed to be left open so I wouldn't worry about it .....
