hey guys i needed your opinion i have this greddy manifold and i was wondering if i could get away by welding these cracks or do i need a new one..tell me what you guys think....ill be boosting 7 psi.

yeah you can do it but i would try to use some high brasing rod i think they call it i saw a guy do a VW header once and it held so that is about all i can tell you about trying to weld cast but someone shoud know if not buy a inline pro they are SS

edit your post title...there is no way to know the greddy mani problem is related to welding a cast manifold. Either that, or start a new thread...

 

welding cast is possible, but its not fun and not a guarantee... if that were my job I would shave that down really well, and drill the threads and carbon out of the hole... then fill it w/mild steel weld

after its all done re-drill and tap that hole in the proper spot under the same thread

but dont send it to a shop to be done, find someone who will do it, and care about the quality of how its done... or just buy a new manifold and get a downpipe for it
