For a Honda there are better options.
For other cars this is a great choice.
I have one and all wired up . Just havent finished the rest of my stuff so I havent run the car on it yet. It looks very promising though.

Again it depends on the car. Others are using emanage with great success.
There are a few MKIII Supras making 500-600whp on the Blue. There are some DSM's and other crap running them too.
Its not just the software that changed. There are alot of changes with the box and its capailities too.

Re: Greddy E-manage ULTIMATE (itr206)
For cars without significant aftermarket support, it's a nice choice. Using the original on my turbo Maxima with good results, it's the only way to control the 670cc injectors (stock are 259).
For Hondas, you get a lot of choices. For the rest of us, it's one of the few reasonable ones.

states like NY do an obd2 scan on your car for yearly inspections. gonna be tough to pass that without an obd2 ecu in the car

The problem is emissions. CT and, as was posted, NY use the OBD2 port to scan for emissions. If you don't pass emissions you cannot get your registration. So that's the problem. Thus, we OBD2 guys have to get something to work with our stock ECU. That is where the E-Manage comes into play.

tuning the emanage can be learned in about 5 minutes by somebody who can tune cars already . not hard at all. i read the manual and started playing. i wasnt happy with it on the honda . hondata is much better.

Re: (Smokinsax)
I agree that the existing emanage is a buggy piece of hardware that needs some major work. I had the emanage for a while, but the 2 hour install because of confusing instructions, constant CEL's even though it was hooked up correctly, extra expensive software for fine tuning required, extra bogus harnesses, and OBD2 learning around the fuel maps caused me to sell it a month later. I have too heard the great success of other cars using the Emanage, but the Honda crowd may not be embracing them due to the problems I have encountered.
Now I have Crome in an OBD1 ECU, it runs like a champ, is more finely tuned and doesn't throw CEL's.

Should work on anything. My Supra is OBD0 if I recall and I have it on that
