the flex pipe could apart of the overall downpipe length. Thats how mine is. It is apart of the downpipe.

At least i finally asked a good question.

Is there a way to get a 3'' cat on without getting a new downpipe?

The stock GReddy DP is meant to bolt up to a stock civic cat, so any cat that would replace a stock unit will work.

I'm having something made for my setup.
He'll finish it up by closed-looping the WG into the downpipe, and then send it out to get coated like the rest of the turbo hot side.

P.S. Chris, I might try and make it out that way prior to the ITR EXPO in April.

at this point i am planning on cutting the front flange off an old cat, welding on a 2" to 3" flare, and then running a 3" flex pipe to the 3" thermal exhaust.

i'll get a cat once i figure out how much room i have.

Or, I could build you a 2.5" downpipe that flares out to 3" with a flexpipe that bolts up to the thermal exhaust. How's that sound?

it sounds good. i am just trying to be a cheap ***.

will you remove the stock greddy downpipe and give it to me unadultered so that i can reinstall it pending future emissions testing? i guess you'll be able to weld a 'tang' for that bracket and have the 2.5" to 3" flare and 3" flexpipe immediately after it?

sorry i didnt catch up with you tony, been out of town. return tomorrow. let me know when you're at the shop again and i'll head over.
