Is This GREDDY 18g Worth to keep
So i have been piecing together some turbo parts for my Integra. I have the greddy manifold and blue box. Its just a daily driver that i wanna have a little fun with.
I purchased this Greddy turbo off ebay with no wastgate actuator and a very small amount of shaft play for $355 shipped.
I got the turbo and the shaft play hit the housing and there was a crack near the internal wastegate flap. The seller said he would take $200 off for that.
I would need to see if it could be welded. I would need to rebuild it(myself) then get it balanced. Then i would need to find an internal wastgate actuator.
If i keep it, it will only cost me $155. Or if i should just get a full refund. I was just wondering if the turbo was repairable and even worth it. Any input would help me out.
Some pics..
Scuff and scratching very minimal from the wheel
crack near flap. can this be welded?
