Default graph of static compression

ok im about to throw around some words that I dont exactly know what they mean.. Im looking for a chart I saw on here that showed the "total" compression compared to the amount of boost being run and the motors "stock" compression.. I think the words being used were static compression.. The graph was supposed to demonstrate how much boost you can run on a motor with a given compression ratio, given octane, and given boost.. I have been wanting to check it out lately but I have no idea where to find it..

I believe this is on pump gas.

What is the significance of the numbers on that chart?

From what I understood anything past a 18.0 compression will lead to detonation, unless you pull timing out or raise the octane

now could someone please explain to me what the different types of compression are and what they mean?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but static compression ratio in and of itself means absolutely nothing. With the right cam timing I bet I could run mad boost on an extremely high compression ratio engine, then just mess with the cam timing and start getting detonation.

Dynamic compression ratio is what determines the detonation threshold of an engine, not static. Besides, I've never heard of an engine that wasn't moving(static) detonate.
