thanks for the responses!
Not a problem, glad that you already knew the difference .
Thanks for the compliment too! We'll keep doing what we always have and look forward to releasing some exciting new injectors for everyone this year

Not at all, just popped in and out to clarify some misinformation since our name was brought up in the thread.

Putting together a few builds of varying power this season from all motor to 700+hp car running in FIS all running on E98. How do the Grams hold up with ethanol specifically the 2200cc and 725cc. The 2200s would purely be for our race car. Seems like people are pleased with them just looking for all the info we can get.

All of these Bosch injectors that are 2000-2200 are of the same ev14 injector. They aren't super friendly with ethNol if left sitting for long periods. If ran all the time it's not an issue if left sitting take injectors out idle run it on gasoline to pickle them. Doesn't matter which brand you buy ID, FIC, Grams, South Bay etc.

I have ID2000's and I run Ignite E98. I try not to let sit longer than two weeks. If going that long and car isn't running they're removed powers up and sprayed out with wd40. First time I removed them but didn't flush out and two seized up on me. They sat for a few months.

I'm actually friends with the guys who own/run fuel injector connection. their shop is actually down the street from my house.

even they admit to the name confusion thing which is why they try not to any marketing using the FIC abbreviation.

but they do good work, we've been using their injectors on our 650rwhp, 600lbft z06 circuit car with little issue.

they normally have a large inventory of injectors on hand and can pretty much make anything you need.

personally I don't think you can go wrong with either company, fuel injector clinic and fuel injector connection both do quality work and have great customer service.

it all comes down to personal preference

Yea it seems like most of those injectors are based around the Bosch ev14 platform. It's weird how they seize up if left sitting for any extended period of time. I know ethanol can degrade certain types of materials, hence the different pumps and lines for ethanol but I would never think you'd have to pickle the fuel system with gasoline to avoid injector lockup.

I would expect it with methanol but not with any high ethanol percentage. did you have the same issue with e85? I would imagine that e85 would have enough gasoline content to prevent such issues. I could see it becoming a problem with e98-e100

I know people who let ev14 injectors sit with oxygenated/leaded race fuels for a few weeks with no issues.

Something internal isn't stainless steel so it rusts and that's that once they rust. The injector is originally designed for LPG so rusting isn't an issue in that application.

I guess it could be the fact the ethanol absorbs moisture and that moisture will corrode the pump and injectors if allowed to sit for long periods of time.
