Default Good size ic?

For around 250 whp,
What would be a good size ic for a 4th gen prelude?
Without having to cut anything up from like the bumper support or whatever

I also read, that for like intercooler an eBay bought one would be suffice, is this correct?

Not to dis any board sponsers here, but a small eBay intercooler kit will do fine for you, the cx racing and godspeed ones are good for up to like 400 HP. Just a 27 x 6 x 2.5 will work fine, that said, if you do spend the extra money on one from someplace like go autoworks it will ensure the highest level of quality !

Oh okay yeah cuz I heard like intercooler and piping and I think like bov would be fine from eBay just nothing like turbo or waste gate. Not bashing them, cuz Ive heard people running them with no problems, just more of a hit and miss type of thing. And since this will be my first major modification ever, I think I'd rather get something that's proven to work.

Precision? Sounds good. I just don't want nothing too expensive if I don't need to high quality of an intercooler to do the same job for a 250whp goal as say an eBay intercooler

Even the BOVs on ebay are bullshit. Stick to the plan. A small Precision, vibrant, or mishimoto will do the job.

Okay, cool thanks. So around 27 x 6 x 2.5 is good right?
And okay, so just any brand name bov, just a preference of sound, correct?

Alright, sweet!

Oh, I feel dumb. Haha. I knew that! Lmao.

Quick question, though, would you say this is a good buy?
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=07168758994

I know it ended, but maybe they'll put it back up or something.

No. not at all. glad its finally down.. don't even attempt to do that. Stay away from ebay for complete kits like that. If you're low on funds, head to the hondamarketplace FI section to get the good deals on used / newer parts. You'll have better luck than the rust garbage that infects eBay.

Phew! Thank you!
Glad I got steered away from that. I was actually seriously considering purchasing it.
Thank you.
Yeah I've been looking through the market place FI thread. I'll prolly start purchasing by the end of this year or beginning of next, after I have enoug research down on exactly what to get.

Make sure you stay away from things that seem to cheap to be true & remember that converting any car from NA to FI isn't cheap & isn't ideally for people on a budget. Don't rush, take your time, do your research, be prepared to pay for quality items and you'll be fine .

True that.
And oh I know I've implanted that in my head haha.

I mean I wouldn't consider myself on a budget per say, cuz I'm not gonna be spending all my money at once. The time interval between buying the parts will be enough time to have recovered from that expense lol.

Yes I've been researching for the past week and still have a LONG way to go. Lol

hrrrmmmmm.......This might stir up some ****, there is nothing at all wrong with buying brand name parts and knowing they are built with good craftsmanship and quality...BUT...with your build and a measly 250 whp, an ebay cheapie front mount/pipe kit WILL work fine, no doubt when it comes to important things like the turbo or wastegate or anything fuel or engine management related buying name brand parts is the only way to go, but an intercooler is an intercooler and charge pipes are charge pipes at 250 whp......
