Default Good axels?

Anybody know a place to pickup some good remanufactured axels for a D16 Civic? The cheapest I can get new Honda ones is like $170 or so, just wanted to know what the best alternative is. Money is tight these days, and I've gotta get new rotors/pads, change the timing belt and do my axels, so I'm trying to find the most cost effective way to take care of this, thanks

I'm replacing mine too, I was told that Autozone has them for under $100 in most cases.

Well I found a place on the internet, driveshaftshop.net, they have a Honda/Acura stage 1, 25% stronger than OEM for $150! Plus if you've got some old B-axles, they give you like $75 exchange or something like that. I mailed them to make sure they've got axels for SOHC's and I'm gonna go with those. he cheapest I could get from Honda was $193 per axel, so I'm saving almost $100 plus getting slightly stronger axels, can't go wrong there

I wouldn't suggest this route. If you get ones that don't wobble under load, or snap during U turns, the power that most of you make are more than enough to snap them like twigs.

How much power are you talking about that you need to be concerned before breaking cheaper axles?

I've dealt with cheaper axels in my 93 GS-R, I've also broke about 3 sets in a span of one yea, after my OEM's lasted me about 130k miles. Needless to say, I'm not going with cheap replcements, I'm going OEM or better, and if a slightly better replacment is available for less, it makes sense.
