Hey I saw your block and pistons when they were at Brandon's house. Congrats. I got mine and installed my pistons and rods in my blcok this past weekend, just need to put all the other little knick knacks on, wtare and oil pump an dgaskets and seals etc. It was nice since Brandon was local, he is a great guy, spoke to Golden Eagle before on some issues great guys too.
You did get the pistons from Brandon Right?

now you know whats the scarest? I sold him that block!! hahah That block has had one hell of a life...lets see
A short history
I bought that block in 96 or 97, complete longblock, outa a 95 civic sedan. Had 40,000 miles on it. It spun a rod bearing at 105,000 miles (i was revin' it to 9000) After that i had it rebuild, new crank (from my first engine orginal stock SI motor) rods and piston. I was boosting 16-18psi on it and lovin' it. Then sad day i blew a vacuum line and detinated really bad...breaking almost all the JE pistons and putting a chip in the sleeve. The block and crank were in perfect condition.
Sold the block to Dave...he of course sleeved it..and there it is infront of you. It looks much cleaner now!
AWESOME DAVE! When are you going to get those crowers from me? They are waiting!
liam
ps Did you ever get the block gaurd out of the motor in one piece?

glad you had a good experience with them, they won't even return my e-mail that i wrote to them with questions about 3 weeks ago. they can't even send me an e-mail, so i wouldn't expect them to send me a block back.... [sarcasm]GREAT costumer service there[/sarcasm]

Yea thanks guys. I can't complain, I mean I just sent it out and nearly forgot about it untill Brandon Emailed me like a week ago telling me the motor was on its way. Took a while, but then you look at the work and see just how worthwhile it all is!
Liam, still waiting on that Z6 head you promised me! I didn't bother with the BG, that bastard was wedged in there hardcore! I just let GE remove it heh.. don't worry about the Crowers dude, I'll stick with the Eagles and JE's
SO3, I'm usually out there Tues and Thurs. on 8th St, look for me if you head out there around 11pm-ish

Dave,
I am glad to hear you are pleased with your setup. I can say, this is the first D-series I have ever sent out to get re-sleeved, and have custom pistons made for. Keep us updated on your project and power results.

looks good man, i finally blew mine up and just deciding to swap. I sent my b18c out there for a 84.5m sleeved with the eagle rods and arias pistons. Should make for some serious power. Good luck, i wanted to stay sohc, but i need faster times.
oH... CRAP.... can someone lend me another grand to sleeve my block ? Dave is gonna PILLAGE me !
You didn't tell me it's back.... I'm comin' over !

My apologies for not responding to your e-mail. My service here sucks and I sometimes get my server swamped with so many e-mails that I cannot retrieve them to answer. Please try to re-email me and I will try my best to get back to you a.s.a.p. Thanks. Also, as a reminder, please use Bar's Leaks in your motors. There is a post on here somewhere about it. If you have any questions, please let me know anytime. Thanks for all your support guys.
