going to turbo a gsr
ive had lots of experiance turboing 5.0 stangs but this is my first import..
i just baught a ssbp 1999 gsr 26000 miles...i want to do this
a cartech fmu and use for fuel mgmt
255 fuel pump
a t3 from a svo .48 hot .60 cold side
stock injectors
2.5 inch down pipe
tial waste gate
a custom manifold
5 to 6 psi of boost as this is my daily driver and i want to keep good gas and
reliability
do i need to change my head gasket or get arp studs at this psi my goal is just 220 to 240 fwhp does this sound like its prety solid or what could i do to improve im on a realy tight budget but i dont think 220 to 240 whp is much to ask. is the stock clutch going to be allright .im not planning on beating it up

clutch no, internals and headgasket yes. the list u got is a pretty standard setup. the clutch will last u about 1year of regular driving, no racing. if u do race street/strip then u better start saving up for a good stage 2/3 clutch.

Re: going to turbo a gsr (JDMCrx89)
forgot to add, u might wanna invest in hondata, a s200 unit or s100 (no bix external box), a intercooler. 440 injectors are a good upgrade and the fuel pump, upgrading ur plug wires and plugs are recommended to. also oil is a good factor, im switchin from 10w 30 to 20w 50 syntetic, theres mobil 1 and syntec, u choose. i dont think 220 whp+ will be hard to reach with moderate tuning, with the turbo u picked ur lookin to get what ur askin for.
this is just my 2 cents, correct me if im wrong.

Re: (kovert)
Get uberdata, and a wideband, and use your own burner to tune your car. It's better than that shitty fmu.
If you want reliability, then get some good engine managment, and keep the power under 250whp.
The more power you make, the faster things will break, such as ringlands, clutch, axles. . . .
