going boost

Default going boost

so i have a greddy turbo kit and i want to play it safe so im running 5 pounds on my all stock gsr. im scared to blow my motor. should i push more than that or should i drop it down to 4??

Its not about how much boost you run, its about how much power your making. You can actually safely run more then that......ASSUMING its running on a good engine management system AND is tuned properly. B-series motors can be ran safely around 300whp daily and last a while on a good conservative tune.

alot of people think the e-manage is a substitute for a tune... and thats how people blow their motors. emanage is good for now.. but if you want true reliability.. find a ecu. get it chipped and tuned.

its all about the tune. 5psi is nothing. gsr can handle that. get your ecu chipped and tuned.

I'm in the same boat at the OP, except I have a tuner ( ECu is already chipped). I was thinking about 7 lbs is all I'll run and be safe.
