Default garrett m10

just picked up a garrett m10 turbo. its used and it has some shaft play. i plan to rebuild it. when i bought it, the guy said if i was going to buy the adapter for it. do i need to get an adapter? and if so, what kind and for what?

post a few pictures of the unit in question.

Possibly a restrictor for the oil feed is what he is talking about.

looks like a straight t3 .42/.48 what is the application kinda small for anything other than a low whp d-series

just as you said. and yea i have it for my y8. i plan to get a t3/t4 later on. but for now this will do. but im wondering what "adapter" will i need. cuz the guy i bought it from asked me if i was going to buy an adapter for it.

also there are 4 wholes. guessing its for the cooling. shouldnt there be 2? in & out?
and is it water cooled or oil cooled?

maybe an adapter for the compressor inlet (3 bolt) so that you can get a filter on there. the hotside inlet should just be regular t3 so that shouldn't need any adapters.

turbo looks oil lubricated and water cooled

also i will need to run 4 lines?
2 for oil (in & out) and 2 for the water (in & out)?
