Default Is a Garret GT28 enough?

My buddy has a Garret GT28 with about 100 miles on it. I was wondering what kinda power I could get with it in my fully built Ls v set up. I have a b18b1 block bored/honed .020 over, 9.6:1 wiseco pistons, manley h-beam rods, crank micro-polished and all balanced, GSR P72 head with pro series STD valves, skunk2 dual springs and TI retainers, pro 1 camshafts, pro series cam gears. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I would toss the Pro1 cams in favor of some ITR/CTR cams. The rest sounds decent. The GT28 would spool quick but would be somewhat on the small side unless you dont have high HP goals. I would run at LEAST a GT28R. Slightly larger and will yield more power. The GT28 is a nice turbo though and is a ball bearing unit. Excellent spool time, had one on my Y8 and loved it.

Are we talking about a disco potato (GT2860rs) or GT2560r?

Neither to all. He's looking at a GT28. Not an "R" not a disco potato, none of that. Good to about 230whp or so, then that's about it. And that's PUSHED. we're talking barely 30lbs/min here
