Default gapping


do i put the gapper inbetween the plug and just push it against something hard? i pushed it against my desk is that ok?

I usually smack em gently against something then work then open with the gapper. But your way will probably work too.

I just re-read this and I dont do it with the gapper in the plug. Do it without

dont leave the guage in it when you adjust it, you can nick the guage or something so it will not give you acurate results, I tap mine against something hard then check it, keep doing it till its good, if needs to be opened i use the opener on the guage.

close the gap first then open them up. i did it like you did and actually pushed the electrode down into the plug
