Gain or Loss?
Well sorry if this question doesn't seem obvious, but my brother and I were debating on what gains and losses would occur if an exhaust was on or off. Well knowing this from all-motor setups, wouldn't a top end gain be more if only the downpipe was used w/o an exhuast, but lose low end power, while if an exhaust was used it would gain that low-end. My brother was saying that for turbo cars it is the opposite. He was saying that the exhaust restriction would bring more top-end, losing that bottom end power, and vice versa. So can anyone tell me what's the real gains or losses?
