Well, Im taking a Information technology class and I have to do a powerpoint presentation on the future of efi. So im just wondering what you guys thinks the future has in store as far as electronic fuel injection and standalone tunable ems? I mean we have come along way over the past few years im just trying to get an idea of what you guys see coming up in the future.

its hard to say with the way it looks like it going in the future electric and hydrogen cars.

electric cars will never take off do to the fact they have to be plugged in. ...now I can see hybrids take off if they get to make more power. What I expect to see from the efi market is auto tunning features. Code that allows the efi to change its program with certain conditions etc.

change your powerpoint topic to hydrogen powered cars because they are without a doubt the future, they make just as much power as gasoline powered cars, there is only water left over after it is burned, and the best aspect of hydrogen is its abundent and only cost like 2 cents for a pound which is the main reason why they wont switch over from gasoline.

actually, insted of switching topics you could use it at the end of your presentation saying how the standalones have come this far but the real future is in hydrogen and electric. just some ideas

Do a search on "Ion sensing" ignition technology. It's the future for igntion control for internal combustion engines. Pretty cutting edge stuff.
