im in the markit for a turbo kit for a 2000 gsr and im loking at the full race kit and peakboost kit. I know full race is better but is it worth an extra 2 grand. Please help me out i have got 3500 dolars saved up so should i keep saving and git the full race kit or get the peak boost kit now?

How in the world do you think a comparable full race kit is 2 grand more than the peakboost? The peakboost is 3299.99, Full-Race Stage 1 is 3499.99. Both come with 3" downpipes, tial 38mm wastegates, tial 50mm bovs, T3/TO4E 57 or 60-trim turbos. The peakboost comes with a slim fan, full-race does not. For "an extra 2 grand" you can get a full-race AC turbo kit with a GT40R.

Re: full-race vs Peakboost (gsr2000)
I have never even seen anything from Peakboost, but from the posts here I would assume they are very good. With that being said, I will never run anything but Full-Race ever again in my life! I am thinking about buying another manifold just to put on my coffee table as a conversation piece, because the quality is soooo sick! Full Race

There's nothing wrong with a peakboost kit, but i have to agree with the other posters that FULL RACE present themselves with outstanding quality and research/development in their kits. if you wanna splurge get the FULL RACE if you wanna just throw it on and make "decent" numbers go with peakboost

Re: (Quick 99)
i read a thread a while back about peakboost kits not coming with the right parts, and leaving small things out. Other than that i haven't anything else. If it were my money i'd go Full-race

Let us know if you do, so I can break in and steal your coffee table along with anything that might happen to be sitting on it.

Re: full-race vs Peakboost (97turbols)
The price is pretty comparable. You should be able to get a Full-Race kit for the amount of money you have. Full-Race
The fitment quality is not only excellent, but you just can't beat the quality of the product. Their weld quality was already bad ***, and now with the robotic welding capabilities they have...they are just even better. Is it worth the lil extra money, I say yes. Do it right the first time.

Re: (tony1)
loving my full race stage 2 turbo kit with the 60-1
but imo it all depends, if you dont plan on building the block and just want to boost stock block id build one with individual pieces, should be able to do that and get full potential from stock block gsr for under 2500

I hate to go against the grain here, but I think that by piecing a kit together, you will have a lot of money left over for other things that you will need.
I just can't justify spending $3500 on a stage 1 kit when you could build your own kit capable of just as much, for a lot less.
Full Race does make quality parts. If you have the extra money to burn, and you don't mind throwing money to the wind for "bragging rights" then jump on the bandwagon.
I would go as far as to say that if you custom'd a kit yourself - you could save nearly enough to buy high quality rods and pistons.
But that wasn't your question, so I'm off topic. If you're going to buy a pre-made kit, and the prices are that close between Full Race and Peakboost - go with Full Race. Just like BodyKits NW said, their welding technology is next to none and their fitment is fantastic. Hours of research and developement come through in the price - but it is a fantastic product.

[QUOTE=frxtc@9k]With my car currently at Full-Race I gotta say hands down they are the best. They have great customer service and take the time with their customers. Give Todd a call.
