Full boost making a weird noise.
Well I finally got my car running and when I take it to full boost it makes these weird fan hitting type of noise. The turbo only has 1500 - 2000 miles on it. Its not a detenating sound or pinging sound. Is it my turbo bearings or shaft or what could it be?
I was thinking it could just be the wastegate opening up. Ive never heard an open wastegate noise is it a really metalic sound? It sounds liek metal to me though, is that what the wastegate sounds like open?

Have you bothered to let the car run, and stick your head in the engine bay to get a visual and to try and pinpount the sound?
Watch the turbo, see and listen for this 'metal on metal' sound. Try and confirm the issue

My first turbo did that. I had to get rid of it.
Does it sound like a saw cutting through metal?
When my turbo was doing that, we found out that the turbine wheel was hitting the housing (there were grooves being made in the housing). Worst part was, i found that out on the dyno when it was getting tuned.
However, my turbo was not creating ANY boost at all.
Lets hope that its not the same case with you.
