Default Fuel pressure regulator needed or not needed?

At the moment we have a ihi turbo from a probe, hf manifold, and a adapter plate. We have a fuel rail and an fmu. We will be running a Ls computer and stock injectors. Should we run a fuel pressure regulator on this set up for my homemade turbo for my zc. If its needed i have no problem in putting it in just wondering if it is needed. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

I'm going to say no. I've always used stock fuel pressure on my setups, even when I had 550cc injectors. I never needed an aftermarket fuel rail or an adjustable FPR.

Cool thanks for the advice. i think i will wait down the road to maybe add one on will the stock zc injectors handle the ihi rhb5 turbo were going to run 4lb to 5lb of boost on the street and 7lb to 8lbs at the track. Here is a link to the exact same setup were running except for the injectors and the zdyne ecu[URL][/http://homemadeturbo.com/turbo_projects/ZC_IHI/URL] http://homemadeturbo.com/turbo_projects/ZC_IHI/

Yeah, I dunno. I don't see why anyone would get an aftermarket FPR unless they have large injectors (larger than 550cc).

If you're using an FMU, an adjustable FPR won't do anything. The FMU raises fuel pressure under boost, and your fuel pressure at idle shouldn't change. So what's the point of the adjustable FPR?

Unless you do something to change air/fuel ratios at idle, don't get the FPR.

how about you ditch that crap and get turbo edit + big injectors.
