Default Fuel Pressure.....

Can someone explain this whole theory to me. I am totaly oblivious to this whole subject, but it seems importnt so I should learn....help a brotha out

mm.....ok how about this....I have no clue what fuel pressure is. I got no clue on how to read it, what it does, what u have to do to make it increase, make it decrease, the advantages of having high fuel pressure, the disadvantages.etc.....

ok well that helped out.....u get a fuel pressure regulater to control the amount of unused fuel going back to the gas tank, stock is between 38-44 psi., what are the advanages and dsadvanteas, when running larger injectrs in a turbo car say, 440's, u would wan to increase the psi.?

Regardless of injector size, you increase pressure to increase the amount of fuel being dumped into the cylinder. The reason why you use larger injectors is so that you can flow more fuel at lower pressures. Lower pressures are good because you run into complications with higher pressures

......such as the fuel pump not being able to flow enough at those higher pressures to support the power your engine is trying to put out. That is a bad thing, you go lean and will blow the motor. Lower fuel pressure is a good thing when you can still support the power you need to make.
