I'd LIKE to push 60psi, so I can keep my 440cc, but peeps are advising against it... say it's too much stress on the pintle & solenoid.

Bastards. I'm gonna settle for 50psi, and see if I can lower my duty cycle enough.

I only want 240-250whp. 440cc should be enough!

maybe i am doing something wrong or am being misunderstood. let give u my problem.i run 880cc precision injectors, walbro 255 hp, stock fiter, and aem fuel pressure regulator. i was leaning out so what i did is turned up the pressure 56 psi. and that gave me a little more room. but about 4 more psi of boost leaned out again. what i am trying to get at is how high can i turn up the fuel pressure before i start to over stress something. this is a very nasty problem for me and i really need some help on this subject. and i appreciate all ur replys guys thanks.

Take a look at your fuel system components, from pump to injectors.

I see that you are running Precision injectors. They do not recommend anything over 60 PSI. Try to stay below that; not just static pressure, but your total fuel pressure during boost (if you have a boost reference line hooked up to your FPR).

Also check your pump's flow rate at higher pressures. If you have a Walbro low pressure model, be sure to find out if your pump can still support those power numbers at that given fuel pressure. Here's a chart you can refer to:

http://www.stealth316.com/imag...o.gif

I've been running 65 psi on my RC 550 injectors for about 1.5 years, mainly because I didn't want to step up to the 750's yet. My power isn't anything crazy, about low 300 WHP, so my fuel pump had no problem keeping up with those injectors. It's fine as long as you know the limits of your components.

ok im not very smart with all this stuff but.... what i got from that chart, basically, it looks to me like the more volts u put into the pump, the more it will flow?? dont call me stupid guys i am honestly trying very hard to understand all this. thanks again. and if i am still wrong try to correct me.

^^^ you're correct in your assertion. Try adding thicker gauge power wire to the fuel pump.

50 psi, 550 saturated, ~260whp.. i've had my fuel pressure at 60psi while running 370's, but that wasn't for too long i got 550's short after.. this is w/ oem fuel filter

I dunno, it seems like its another issue? what power are you looking for out of those injectors?

on my last setup, i had a 255, -6 line, stock filter, 50 psi line pressure, 750's and made 300+- clutch took a dump so accurate numbers dont exist for now.

....this is only kinda related to your post...but...

I can hear my walbro fluctuate sometimes. Would one of those voltage stabilizers help the fuel pump?

i am looking to make 500+ in the near future. and a lot of people say that this setup is good for that amount of power. for exaple look at mrbsponge's setup. pretty much identical to mine and he has already made 450 with it. i dont get it. there is some sort of nasty problem with my fuel system. and i cant figure it out!!
