Front motor mount????
I have a DA and it looks like the front motor mount is going to be in the way of the downpipe. Would it be OK to run with out it??? I have seen other cars go without it. What is everyone doing that experiences this problem?

i have always read that the only reason the aftermarket mount kits are ok with 3 mounts are because they are much stiffer than stock. so considering that, i would say you'd probably have to upgrade your other three mounts with polyurethane inserts to stiffen them up. thats just my guess though.
Unless HasPort or somewhere makes a 3 mount kit for your chassis, I'd suggest keeping every mount Honda put on it.

Try to get on task here. We're talking about a DA TEG, not a bolt in mount kit for a ED chassis. The DA's come with a B series, he just wants suggestions on if he can remove the stock front without issues <doubtful> or if there is a full mount kit or upgrades for his stock mounts.

Just get the Energy Suspension inserts for the other 3 mounts and you'll be fine.
I ran my DA like that before without much engine movement at all.
Now I am completely deleting the existence of the front mount.

I ran without the front motor mount for 2 years. The rear motor mount went to hell and caused shifting problems. And thats with running polyurethane inserts on the right & left mounts <U>but not the rear</U>. The rear wouldn't fit, I still dont know why, aren't all rear mount inserts on DA's the same?
The rear mount takes most of the beating.
If you're going to run without the front, make sure you have some support in the rear ..or else the stock rubber will start to rip.
If mine ripped with the motor only producing 130 ftlbs of torque, imagine the torque beating from FI!
just looking out for my fellow DA's
I'm keeping mine for life.

Do they make inserts for the two side mounts??? I bought the Energy inserts but it only came with ones for the front and back.......the 3M idea sounds good to me....I wonder if it gets so hard that it would crack though???

I've got the same problem man. Prothane makes the inserts for the left, right, and rear mounts. I'll probably do away with the front mount and run the Prothane inserts.
