Default Forgot to install thrust washers?

So my friend bought a motor off one of his friends friend. It is a sleeved 84mm gsr block. I don't know who it was assembled by but i am guessing they didn't not install the thrust washers? The motor ran it made it to the dyno and still made 700+ hp. It had a lot of blow by and sounded kind of weird right after the dyno he decided to check it out. He got to open it up and found no thrust washers! There was a lot of metal shaving from the crank and block being chewed up by the crank wobbling side to side (you can see in the pic where the thrust washers are suppose to sit it wore it down i dont think i can even use the block because the next washers wont sit right?). The sides of the pistons had scrapes on them and the bottom of the pistons were smacking the oil squirters braking 2 of them right off and damaging the pistons. misspelled

This is the only pic i have right now but, i will post more pics up later today or tomorrow morning.

Let me know what you think went wrong?

block is fucked, crank is fucked

cannot be fixed or used again

also check the head, with that many shavings it probably clogged the pickup causing oil starvation which in turn scored the cam journals

and what went wrong? you said it yourself NO ******* THRUST WASHERS

they take up lateral play in the crank so the crank doesnt move horizontally in the motor, without them the crank will slide back and forth beating against the block and caps.

i'm also willing to bet your cutch and flywheel is damaged as well as potentially the transmission, since the flywheel would be smacking into the input shaft... the oil pump is probably fucked too due to the crank slamming around the pump gears

This one actually got me laughing. I can only imagine things like throwing belts every time the clutch was pushed in. Haha... that one would go on "The Wall" for sure if I had it.

i don't even see how you'd forget to put them in.... maybe the crank moving back and forth while checking end play (like you're SUPPOSED to) would be a dead giveaway? or maybe those extra bearings left over?

I'll take that motor off your hands, I have been looking for a mockup motor. One with a funny *** story behind it is even better.

not the block, everything.. clutch, flywheel, and probably the transmission... i bet the input shaft is beat to **** and wiggles.

you need to check the cam journals for scoring

and unless you cut the block away from the sleeves, they aren't coming out
