After reading through all that, I'm thinking about making the switch...
Just wondering what you guys think?
What about the piston slap issue with the off center mounting of the wrist pin?

yea i wen to click the link then i looked left. Damn you! lol. I've been looking into wiseco's when i build my motor. they seem like nice pistons for the money
i run weisco's in my ls/vtec. imo they are a great piston for the money. not as "race-only" as JE, and better than srp's. i havent had a chance yet to see how much they can handle, but i give them a
I run wisecos and like them very much...One thing I noticed is that they were only a gram apart from the manufacturer. When I weighed a set of JE's they were like 4 grams apart...I just weighed a set of SRP's and they are within a gram also...
They were all balanced in the end anyways but its something to think about.
These are just my experiences and of course they were all weighed on the same scale...

I'm looking for a part number for some 84mm 9:5.1 to 10:1 compression Weisco pistons in a ls block with a type r head.

I currently run CP's with no noticed noise issues on startup. I was however trying to run Wiseco's but these kinda fell into my lap at the time due to some untimely circumstances. Whatever way you look at it any of the major forged piston manufacturers will serve you well assuming you have a competent machinist and tuner

I also work at Wiseco Piston with Brian Nutter, though I'm not a salesman. I run one of our forging presses that makes all the sport compact pistons. Believe me, it's good to know that my blood, sweat, and tears makes good pistons. Thanks guys. Btw, I got Wiseco's in my ls turbo.
