Default Forged D15B rods?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any company that made rods for a D15B, the JDM motor not the D15B7. I know Eagle doesn't make any and neither does crower. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
Matt

Check the rod length compared to the D and B series and see if you find something close. I got Eagle H22 rods for my F22 which are 1.5mm longer, but had custom CP pistons made to compensate (also increased my R/S ratio a tad ).

You can call up Crower and ask to speak to a rep if you're really desperate, I have the same motor (D15B VTi engine) and spoke with them in regards to a few applications. Basically, the just gotta match the rod length of the motors (closest spec to this motor is the D15B7). Make sure you get someone who knows what they're talking about though...i've called twice and got absolutely stupid people who had no clue at all what they were talking about!

You can also check JE's page and do a comparison via the charts they list for rod and piston sizing, that helped me quite a bit with tracking down the right rods.

Anyways, hope that helps some man...that motor is a pain in the *** to find parts for but loves mods!

Thakns for the information guys, its not the rod length thats odd on the d15b, its the bearing journel size. Its larger then other D series, except fr the Vx.

Hey man,

yeah the d15b is a rough motor parts wise, it's an oddball I'm not sure what the bearing size is on the Vx..i got the old Vx motor in the garage I should check that out and let you know haha..

I remember coming across some Eagle rods for D-Series applications that supposedl fit all or had applications for all D-series. If you need any information on the d15b modification wise check out http://asia.vtec.net if it's still up and talk to Wong, he's boosted a few of the engines mildly (even the malaysian 3-stage VTEC one!) He's a wicked resource for any information regarding that engine, he's helped me alot with mine!

Cheers man!
