The 05s are sooooooo bad *** - The dash is totally different and the sport models come with some NICE looking 19s - HP output is now 300

 

sexy cars, but I beat one with a supercharger he was putting 335whp and all I had was a B18c1 and a short ram in a CX hatch..........

they are better in every way !

 

they are nice but i think their power output is over-rated, most of the twin turbo kits only yield low 13 second passes at around 105-110 from what ive seen, pretty shitty for rear wheel drive. They also have attendancy to crack ringlands around 6psi or so.

are you sure that all you have is a short ram, because if so there are 4 options to that scenario:

1. you have a freakishly fast car for just having an intake
2. something was wrong with his
3. he did not race you at all
4. you beat him on a roadcourse or something

no offense or anything, but I had a hatch that was all gutted and had a JDM GSR (SiR-G) whatever and I would beat the naturally aspirated G35's and 350's, but not by much...usually from a roll, i'd get 1 or 2 cars on them if they could drive and I never raced one off the line. A boosted one would have severely raped me, though.

On another note, is it just me or does the G35 that the thread was started about look like it has air ride in the pic or is he turning really fast--the driver's side front looks very low...I'm talking about the pic on the link about it.

Sweet... he must have been toying around and never raced before....

I tried racing one the year they came out a G35 and a New Vett on the interstate w/ my B20 setup (when it was on a 50 shot) and the Vett and the G35 took off and left me a nice 4 car gap. The G35 was side by side w/ the vett.. and me? I was just barely taggin along lol... This was with my car running a 14.2 @ 97 all motor and 13.8 @ 103 on the 50shot i was using tryin to hang . those cars are beast on topend

we are in the process of building a vq35 for a customer.. he has a g35 sedan with a power enterprises twin turbo kit.. made right at 390hp on 8psi. power enterprises makes a kick *** kit for the g35.

he had a vortec blower on it.. forgot what boost it was running, but it was at 370 when he sold it for the turbo kit.

yeah, I see alot of so called G35 "skylines" with nissan badging.. i'm like dude. try are hard as you want, but its not a skyline.

what do you mean....??? im not saying they are but they have the same chassis as the skyline in jap. but i think a different motor....iuno....i like the back of the car, but the front looks weird

Yea that does suck. The 03-04 non-Brembo have lots of brake issues, I have not seen 1 problem out of the Brembo brakes
