I am hearing a clicking/vibration sound like in my engine bay during low revs. I am trying to isolate the problem. I was wondering would FMU make this type of noise if any at all. I have a rev hard kit. What could the noise be? thanks.

 

I highly doubt it, what ratio is the fmu?
Have you taken it apart?
I would check elsewhere

 

Is your fmu mounted down tight? it could be vibrating

 

its a 12:1 ratio i think. the fuel ports are pointing down. I try moving it. Don't think its vibrating. That was what i thought too. If my engine was detonating or pinging would i be able to feel it? I am just hearing the sound but there is no noticable change in the engine running

 

maybe its your cars way of telling you it hates FMU's and wishes you death for putting one on....

 

Are you running an inline pump in the car? If so, if it's mounted to the firewall, then that is the noise you could possibly be hearing.

 

I finally figure out what it was. It's the FMU rattling against the fire wall. Now i'm at ease. thought it was pinging wheeww. Need to stick some double sided tape or something at the back.
