Default fmic+fogs

who on here has fogs still with a fmic on a ek civic? i heard you have to bend the pipes up and over the fog lights which messes up all the air flow so i was wondering how you all have your piping set up and if you have pictures it would be helpful thanks

Mount the FMIC upside down, or get one with inlets that clear the fogs.

i have it. the fogs have a bottom bracket, kinda long that goes down from the fog to the bottom of the bumper. i bent it straight back upward until it made a 90 degree angle. the intercooler pipe fits perfectly right below it. this is a 2000 front end, and i think my intercooler is like 26inches total length

If you have a Greddy intercooler or something similar, just cut off the bottom leg on the fog light brackets. Others have discussed turning the intercooler upside down if you have a larger intercooler. This guy did a really nice job, but the windshield washer fluid reservoir needs to be relocated:

Another option would be a backdoor intercooler. I used an SRT4 intercooler that way the fogs didn't even come close the the intercooler on my 99/00 front end.

Uses less piping too.

So how would I get my fogs to fit with this setup? Flip and move IC back more?

if i had that setup, i would do it. i was (that i know of, even after checking on here) one of the first ones that figured out how to mount a larger intercooler behind the 2000 bumper while keeping the fog lights. so i think i could do it if i had the car and the pipeing

I just bought this intercooler...I have an EG with OEM fogs and plan to flip the intercooler upside down, and maybe use some silicone piping to bend around the fogs.

because fog lights help you see in less than great conditions??

I don't see how performance would be jeapordized.

I love my OEM fogs, not only do they look great externally, but they make it MUCH easier to see, especially in crappy conditions

yeah you cant either flip it or just cut the long bracket and the piping will fit perfectly under the fogs.. they still mount up fine if you just cut the bottom half. heres a pic of mine :D
