Default FMAX, what are they smoking?

i called and talked to a guy at fmax he said that the 720 ball bearing option only qucikened spool by 100rpm? i thought it ussually spooled 400-1000 rpm faster? i also told him my plans to remove the fmax downpipe cuz its only 2.25" and put in a 3" dp and he told me not too because i would lose so much midrange torque that it wouldnt be worth it and wouldnt make it faster?
any ideas?
thanks

FMAX peeps are retards...I must admit!.....But as for the ball-bearing, for the money, I don't really think they are worth it...I would save that for something better.

i thought the F-max had 2.5" downpipes also, unless B-series gets the 2.5" and the D-series gets the 2.25"

1000rpm spool decrease will only happen if you use a turbo that is TOO small. BB allows you to use a housing one size larger w/o any adverse affects so that will amount to about 500~600rpm at the most with 100~300rpm being the norm if you are using a turbo of the same size.

May i add..the best way to spool up the turbo faster is to get a good wastegate and a boost controller..

and yes, FMAX employees are tards....I had to deal with them for 3 months during our group buy and it was a lot of fun...NOT!

there was a time when the fmax sales staff knew their ish. the problem is you have the owner's wife (who couldn't change her own oil) and some random non-racer (that is only working there because he rents a room at the owners old house) answering the phones. if you're really lucky, jhame (the owner) will answer the phone. he is a wealth of knowledge but doesn't have alot of patience... so ask him only what you need to know.
because of the high volume of calls, they recommend you direct your questions to one of their dealers. also, i can answer most fmax related questions... i used to work there.
