Default Flywheels

Just a quick one,

What flywheels are you boosted guys running ?

I'm debating whether or not to run a stock flywheel on my new setup over a light weight flywheel. I'd imagine having a bit of weight there may benefit us boosted guys ?

Thanks for your time

ive been using the factory type r flywheels for the past few years. i think they are around 12lbs, definately lighter than the regular b series ones. i chose them over aftermarket lighter ones due to awesome oem quality. if you look around you can usually find them for between 50 and 100 bucks, i think i got both of mine for 50 or 60 each

Stock for boost, it keeps you from droping out of boost

myth.

get a ball bearing turbo and you dont have to worry about "falling out" of boost. besides, a 12.5 lbs act does a good job anyways. even when you add heavier rods and a tougher clutch, its not that big of a difference anyways.

12.5 is what i run

Flywheel weight has nothing to do with falling out of boost.
I run the Fidanza 7.5lbs flywheel and Im kinda sick of it but I deal with it.

Well I thought they were 14lbs. But whatever the weight, they sure are an upgrade to the OEM gsr or b16 one. I'm all motor and I like mines. I thought of putting a 10lb one but with the type r one on my setup it revs quickly and I didn't lose ANY torque. So when I hit the gas I'm actually moving somewhere instead of revving and spinning while moving nowhere! Good luck!! ^__^
