Default Flow numbers and pics of ported head

Just got my head back from Total Engine Airflow yesterday. They did a very nice job. I took both a z6 and y8 head to them. They decided to go with the y8 for the quinch areas. As you can see they made it into a symmetrical port and opened up the ports almost to the size of a b series. These are 1mm oversized valves. The flow numbers are as follows.

Before After
Intake Exhaust Intake Exhaust
.100 75.4 70.1 88.5 83.0
.200 144.8 122.4 162.9 169.8
.300 174.0 152.0 207.9 197.8
.400 183.3 159.9 228.4 205.8
.500 186.3 164.4 239.5 211.6
.550 187.3 166.7 243.4 213.7
.600 186.1 168.1 246.6 215.9

The lift on my cam is only about .450 but it was interesting that it still gained flow after .500. My only concern with the head is that it has over 100%+ intake to exhaust flow at .200. It may help or may hurt I dont know. I am open to what anyone thinks. After all this work though I still am not flowing what a stock b16 does. I knew this when I started building a d series though. Just part of building a d. Sorry some of the pictures are not the best.

I don't get it. With the money u put in the head alone u coulda bought a gsr and boosted the stock internals and make more power than a D. And will still be reliable. What's the hp goal for this motor?

that's a serious head job! 550whp shouldn't be a problem with those flow #'s

thanks for all the input. you would have to call total engine airflow for a price. they did mine to see what they could do with it. they mostly do domestic cars. very knowledgeable people there.

Holy crap your head doesn't even flow at all. The port looks nice but with oversize valves and a full port you should be in the 300+ cfm. I feel bad for you man. Hopefully you didn't pay too much for the machine work and port work. I personally ported and machined a z6 with stock valves that made 244 cfm @ .400 lift. The last y8 I did made 340 cfm @ .600 lift.
