Default Flooding with uberdata? how did you fix it? also blowing brake fuses - ITS FIXED; READ

UPDATE FARTHER DOWN; IT IS FIXED in case you run into this problem

I have to unplug my fuel pump; get the car to sputter and sorta start then plug it back in and hold the throttle down until the motor decides it wants to run on its own.
I have a Z6 bottom with an A6 head; obd1 intake and obd1 map sensor and a hardwired obd0-obd1 harness for my 90 civic si witha greddy turbo kit. I'm running dsm 450's with my FPR set at 40psi (~30psi @ 20" of vaccum so it's working) and know the injectors work because i ran turboedit on my old a6 obd0 for a long *** time with them running like a champ.

I have tried the beerbongkicksass.bin file it does it; i made a basemap with 1.65r3 1.666 1.7beta and they all do the same thing. All with the enrichments turned to about 50 and enabled.

Now...... every now and then i get a CEL for my intake air temp sensor and i'm thinking it may be fucked or my wiring to it may be having some problems.......
Will the IAT sensor really cause obd1 to freak out and flood the motor like that?

So tomorrow i'm going to grab my trusty multimeter and check the IAT sensor and hope thats fucked; but shouldnt the computer default to something if it is getting a wierd reading or if its unplugged?

does it only do it at cold start? or all the time? also, how does the car run once it's started? (rich?) and have you had the injectors checked out?

once the initial stuttering is over the car runs fine;
and i dont have a wbo2 anymore so i dont know how rich its running but it is running rich.

and it'll do it on hot or cold start. and i know the injectors work because i had them running for a long while w/ turboedit. I hope its my IAT sensor.... but i dunno; with my luck it probably won't be.

I'm really starting to hate myself for converting to obd1 :-/

A failed IAT can deff cause hot/cold start issues. Usually one or the other, but not both (in my experience) depending if its reporting a grossly cold/hot reading.
When a cel pops for IAT the computer defalts to 120* on the IAT which 'should' allow for both hot/cold starts.
Time to whip out the multimeter.

just get access to a wideband and check it out, might be something extremely simple. might show that u actually are just running rich at idle

just an update: I fixed it.....

It wasn't my IAT sensor; MAP coolant nothing; it was my ******* conversion wiring. I accidnetly swapped the brake switch wire and the multi-sensor grounds wire :-/

they are both green/white hte only difference is one has silver and one has red dots.

so needless to say the car starts purrs and runs great :-/

I dont know wheather to feel glad that the car works or feel so dumb about overlooking that.
So anyway; in case someone finds this thread and they're burning up brake light fuses and their car is running like **** then check those two wires; you probably swapped them.

Most people would lack the heart to go over their wiring once they are "so far into it." Good job, every last one of us makes little errors like that, only the hardcore keep working until they figure it out.

damn right :D
I was about to pull my hair out with this mess :-/ 2 computers; 2 distros; countless hours spent checking wiring (which obviously wasn't thurough enough) and it wound up being 2 swapped wires :-/ oh well we live and we learn
i'm just happy this bitch is up and running again :D

Got lucky there, that 'could' have been a real bitch to track down. Nice job.
