Flared Sleeves?
I have never heard of these, someone said that these:

were flared... however i think it looks like a block guard. someone please provide some more info for me, thanks.

not really flared. the sleeves are made with little ears that go out and touch the block. in my opinion, Golden Eagle is the best way to go when it comes to sleeving a block. no questions asked.

ears..lol.
the tangs are there for support, preventing movement of the sleeve..just like a blockguard or posting i suppose...id call it a good blend of the both.

i ordered the darton sleeves through benson's, in cali. i cant remember the exact amount i paid, but i think it was somewhere in between 300-400 maybe

gude 300-400 is pretty good. i think the shop i used to work at will sleeve it for 50 a cylinder... hmm not tooo tooo bad.. if only i had a spare block

So the only difference is open deck red block , closed deck silver block? .........J/K Glad you showed pics for people to show them , you whould post a pic of a stock 92-96 H22A stock closed deck block just to compaare the difference, be aware the stock H22A closed deck the sleeves are still weak and if you caa Sleeve it like GudeH23a did.
