First time at track
Nothing crazy but it was the first time I have ever been to a track. Setup is: 92 cx, jdm gsr swap, drag turbo kit running 10 psi. Skunk 2 coilovers, kyb agx's in the rear, 17" heliums on kumho 712's. Track was very crowded so I only got two runs. First run was against a STI.
R/T --- .477
60' --- 2.382
330 --- 6.165
1/8 --- 9.187
MPH --- 85.28
1000 --- 11.671
1/4 --- 13.812
MPH --- 107.19
2nd run was against a girl in a old Mustang GT.
R/T --- .490
60' --- 2.201
330 --- 5.892
1/8 --- 8.807
MPH --- 87.48
1000 --- 11.294
1/4 --- 13.385
MPH --- 107.53
Like I said nothing crazy but I had fun. For like 3 years I have gone to the track with my friends but never had a car I could run until now. Well any comments both good and bad are welcome. Thanks for looking.

Re: First time at track (mochasi)
times look decent, what power are you making??
looks like if you could get a better launch and get your 60ft down you could be hitting high 12's...

Re: (andysila)
Nice times there, 2.2's on 17's with skinny tires isnt all that bad. With some practice and better rubber on the fronts, you should be able to see 12's. Did you beat that STi?

R/T doesnt make a difference in the E/T's you get... When are people going to learn .

huh?...he's right though...reaction time is how long it takes you to leave the staging area, when your front tires leave that 2nd line then your time starts, so its 60ft thats the first big thing to worry about

Re: (Makdaddynuge)
thanks for all of the replies!! I only launched it at 4k if that. I wanted to try launching it higher but never got another run. The STI ran a 13.5 and I would have had him but I couldn't get the car into 3rd. Now the girl in the mustang....that was a different story. She ran a 17.5. lol

My buddy said that when we were lined up a couple of guys that she was with were like "you got this civic" lol

Re: (SOHC_MShue)
I don't know what kind of power I'm making but I feel like the car had more in it. I wished I could have made a couple other runs and launched it harder. My friend has some 25" slicks on bogarts but I was afraid they would be overkill for me and since this was the first time at the track I wanted to get a feel for the car.

Re: (rwcdrums)
once you run on slicks you'll never want to run on street tires again... lol
just look at getting those 60ft's down and you'll see a lot better times...

That sounds about right. When I had my old setup w/10psi; I went 13.3@109 on 17" kumho 712
