Default first time going turbo. not making boost please help!!

So i just finished putting my turbo kit on and i test drove it and i dont hear thr turbo spooling til around 5000 rpms. But its weak boost. Heres my exact setup and some things that i think my be effecting it not making boost.

D16z6 full engine
t3t04e turbo 57 trim
drag turbo mani
ebay wastegate with 8lb spring
2.5" down pipe
450cc dsm injectors with resister box
2.5" intercooler ping with a 3" pipe from the throttle body to bov
stage one exedy clutch
ebay boost controller. Manual.

so here are some things that i might think why im not producing boost.

- i have an exhaust leak come from where the wastegate sits on the manifold.
- my turbo is a 4 bolt but i only have 3 bolts holding it to the mani.( i know sketchy)
- my down pipe is a 5 bolt but only 3 is holding it to the turbo.
- ihave my bov. Boost gauge and boost controller all t'd to my fpr.
- i have my boost gauge turned all the way down
- or maybe one of my ic clamps isnt clamped down tight enough

Those are all the things i can think of. So if any stick out as an obvious reason please let me know thanks for the help!

1- you're missing the sealing ring in your wastegate
2- put all 4 bolts in your turbo to manifold

any exhaust leaks PRE- turbo will cause major boost lag

3- fix all your mickey moused crap before you regret it down the road.

is it even tuned?- theres no mention of tuning software of any kind in your parts list, nor having it tuned... honestly it sounds like you rushed into this man, be careful or you will pop that motor in a hurry...

sorry for the noob question but is the sealing ring a small ring that comes with the wastegate? And does it go iin the bottom of the wastgate?

Yes without that fire ring your dumping exhaust gas used to spool the turbo right out the wastegate.

That base map is used to start your car to get it to a tuner, nothing else.

loose clamp on the charge pipe would make lag/no spool. boost test it or check to make sure they are all tight. also any exhaust leak pre turbo as another member mentioned above, the bov could be leaking boost also or the cheap wastegate

is this thread serious? you're missing several key bolts AND the sealing ring on your wastegate, and you're wondering if there is a leak slowing down your spool?

seriously, how is it that every day people come on here asking what's wrong with their car, and it's the most obvious answer in the world.. I realize we're all learning here, but c'mon, really?

Chill out man everyones gotta learn somehow ha. Anyways i didnt know what that ring was for i just thought it was a spacer or something. But i just put it in and it fixed that problem. ANd i dont have the 4th bolt to my turbo cause i lost it somewhere in the process lol. so gonna get another one from the hardware store. But i didnt think that on bolt would effect the boost that much.

put the 4th bolt in the manifold and watch the problem dissapear. you do have a gasket between the manifold to turbo and manifold to head right? u wouldn believe how a small exhaust leak will cause **** like this. i had a tiny crack in a manifold and boost went from 20psi to 8

m7 cruz. with the ENGINE OFF ( yea i put that in bold)

see if your turbo compressor wheel spins freely without bind and not hitting the compressor housing.

if you see bright silver around where your wheel is and the housing. good indication your turbo wheel hits your housing ( evident of a pos turbo)
