finished my drag install...WOW
I've never been in a turbo car, except for a stock jetta, which is nothing. Soo I finally finished my turbo install, and WOAH, that **** is insane. I've never felt a car pull soo fucken hard. There is soo much torque steer, sometimes its hard as **** to control. For those of you that boost more than 6psi, damn, that must be even crazier.
But, I just wanted to thank this borad for providing soo much helpful information. Dustin and his help on AIM, and Chris, Art, and Stan helping on the phone.
Few questions....
I have my EGT gauge tapped into the downpipe flange. What readings should I be looking for? What readings should I watch out for? What correlated to being too rich or too lean?
Those of you with a turbo timer, how long do you normally let it sit for?
I have an OEM alarm, anyone hoodk up a turbo timer with an OEM alarm??
Thanks

Re: finished my drag install...WOW (integra7)
well, no EGT yet, so cant help there.
my turbo timer is set for 1 min when im just cruzing around, but after long highway trips, or if i really dog it for a while, ill set it for around 5-8 min.
and finally, dustin posted scematics on how to wire the greddy tt with an alarm. you should be able to find it with a search.
have fun.....

Im glad you got the missing link fixed. Everyone in the garage could hear you scream when you talking to me on the phone. If you have a greddy EGT then you should read around 700deg C when at 70mph.
Glad I could help in some way.

You'll need to buy a 5 way relay from an alarm shop in order for your alarm to work in conjunction with the turbo timer. Like everyone else said, you'll have to find Dustin's post on the specifics. I let my turbo timer run for 1:30 normally or 2:00 if I boost hard. I personally feel that it should suffice. There should be an automatic mode that you can use too.
