Default fields vtec/fuel controller

Anybody have one or ever use one?
I'm in need of a piggyback fuel computer to lean out my air/fuel ratio and i heard the fields controller is easier to use plus it's about $100 cheaper then the v-afc.
Any input on this product?
Is it really easier to use and tune with? is it worth saving the $100?
Thanks for any input

I used one in my civic and my del sol. It worked absolutely fine. It doesn't look as good as the FIeld but if u just wanna adjust fuel, it's cool. A buddy of mine has one for sale for £100. I'm sure he could post it 2u...

Mine worked fine, just not as flexible as the Apex. I think the Fields will only adjust in 1000 RPM increments where the Apex will do it in 500 RPM increments.

one one of my buddy's cars, it just stopped controlling a/f one day. he totally leaned out and the car wouldn't even start. we messed around with the settings, and nothing changed on the fuel pressure guage. un hooked the fields, car started right up- ran fine.

buddy #2, vtec engagement stopped workign one day. was set at 5600, car was warm everything else worked fine.. changed the setting, up down, nothign- wouldn't go into vtec.
un hooked the fields, car hit vtec, smashed fields for being the biggest waste of money in the import sceen.

But go ahead if you wish- thats been my personal experience with it- not once, but twice - bought from 2 different dealers months apart from each other.

How is wireing compared to the v-afc? Easier, harder, same?
