Default a few questions...

1.) ok ive searched and read all posts on this same topic. i just want to ask and confirm some things for my setup...
Stock b16a2 valvetrain and i want to swap out the stock b16 cams with gsr cams... is it worth it for my turbo setup..

i got the cams off a friend, and the head is goin to be off for valve seals, so if its worth it, might as well just put the gsr's in.. im just looking for some serious answers on if its worth it or not with some justified reasons why... thanks in advance matt

2.) Greddy type-s BOV(real) to adjust it to work properly with my setup which way am i gonna want to turn the adjustment bolt... im only boosting 6lbs so i was guessing more towards the soft side... right now its releiving pressure but im getting some flutter also and i know thats bad for the turbine

3.)Has anyone heard of Garrett's airesearch turbos. are they any good...? im looking at http://www.tristatetuners.com/...54136 any input is greatly appreciated

4.) im getting the little whistle when i hit the gas that all motor guys get from there intake... could this be a leak thats causing me to not be at full boost until 5500 when usually im at full boost at 4200?

airesearch turbos are usually old benz turbos, if rebuilt properly they can be reliable.

the GSR cams should be good for boost, especially if free.

well, it's definitely been used. It was made for VW/Audi, which tells me it was a diesel use turbo. don't know how good it's gonna be at 8krpm when those diesels rev to 3k. It's too dirty to never have been used, and it's OLD!

It could be a leak, with the turbo itself, hard to say. Check your system for leaks, and make sure all hoses and attachments are sound.

save the money and buy a new turbo or get a used t3.t4 from the classifieds here. Can't go wrong with a good garrett or turbonetics, or even an innovative.
