The feeling of 'loss'
Anyone care to explain why Hickham thread was removed?
Was in my top 3 favorite threads right up there with the high compression turbo build.
At least the high compression build had some closure with the build issues and such.
I need some closure!!!

Yeah, I saw the request yesterday, but why did he request it?
The thread was clean and nobody was messing the thread up with rude comments or anything.
Somebody said his facebook page was more current with the build progress, but the facebook link in his profile became broken =(

That's pretty lame....i just read through the thread to see why it was deleted / locked, but there's really no reason listed other than Hickam wanted it locked

I'm not sure it was anything IB did exactly. The scene has grown up and moved on to other platforms. Those of us who remain are either the die-hards who refuse to give up on boosted Hondas or new entrants to the scene because of the cheap availability of Hondas and parts. Most of us who started here (myself included) have moved to STi's or Evos, etc.

I spoke with some guys at RaceSpec and local meets about H-T and how its going dead ive come to the agree that the vast majority say people just flame and say to do your own research instead of a thought of the question originally asked.

The Facebook link in his signature died too, but then again I don't know if it ever worked.
I tried it after he asked the thread to be deleted and it didn't work.

Maybe he's removing all trails of the car from the internet for a big reveal?
I hope so.
Hopefully he seriously didn't get mad and delete the thread because there wasn't enough of us swarming and boosting his ego.

^^Just knowing that the project wasn't parted out or sold makes me happy. I'm all for surprises
I agree that new members get flamed and scared off easily. The problem is that so many people come into the forum and start listing off their pipe dreams and haven't put 2 seconds into researching anything. There is an abundance of information available and yet the questions keep coming. After a while (see joined date), the same old questions get annoying and the responses get more and more jaded.
When the whole tuner craze started (before my time), there was no 'hold your hand through the entire process' guide like there is now...people figured **** out for themselves and were much better off because of it. The abundance of information nowadays makes people lazy and they would rather have someone tell them the answer than figure it out on their own. New members need to be willing to put in the effort. If not, they're probably not a great fit for the site anyway
