F22B turbo ?'s
first off heres my setup:94 Honda Accord EX > t3/t4 turbo / Megasquirt 2 v3.0 (Tunerstudios) engine management / 38mm wastegate / treadstone cast turbo manifold / custom fab. SS downpipe 2 1/2" all the way back / 2 1/2" intercooler piping w/ BOV,450 cc DSM Blue Tops / adj. fuel pressure regulator / 255 lph walbro fuel pump / AEM adjustibale cam gear / ARP Head Studs,-10an turbo oil return line / -4an turbo inlet line with restrictor / clutchmasters lighted flywheel + stage 3 clutch / PSPECtuning adj.short shifter / H23 tranny
recently i got her running and idling after years of tinkering, and it turnsout the aftermarket turbo i bought was no good,it started leaking oil badly within the first 10 minutes.sooo i had decided to try one from cxracing(mistake), again within minutes it started pouring oil into the exhaust and even out the intake side.im running the smallest restrictor i could find and my turbo is being feed from the oil pressure sensor on the back of the block,my oil pressure seems to be normal
now i for sure have to buy a high quality turbo such as garrett or turbonetics, but before i do so i need to make sure that everything is right on my setup and im not gunna go and blow up a $1000 turbo.
could there be a problem with external wastegate?
or the manual boost controler?
or the oil canister?
too much oil pressure?
as far as the megasquirt2,its gone reasonably well considering not many peeps have squirted a f22b,although its impossible to tune it when oils dumping allover your o2 senser, keep in mind i havent even been passed 2000 rpms.
Either its just the cheap turbos ive been buying or i got somthing seriously wrong with my setup.
i appreciate any advise,thanks

I'm going to lean towards the cheap turbos. -4an with a restrictor should be fine. I have a -3an feed on a gt3076r with no additional restrictor.

Re: F22B turbo ?'s
Omg I'm an idiot. For some reason I routed my catchcan back into the valve cover instead of releiving it to atmosphere. I'm assuming this is why my turbo is blowing oil?jeeez wondering if I damaged my engine any?maybe if I fix the catch can the turbo might no blow oil? Worth a shot I guess

If you routed the drain ports on a catch can to the valve cover wouldn't it just overfill the can? You couldn't really mount the can above the valve cover for gravity to drain it.

Re: F22B turbo ?'s
No it never did fill up with any oil but I thought the pressure not being able to release may be the cause of why the turbos blew instantly. I'm using a manual boost controler so I have the side port of the waste gate going to the controller and the top to atmosphere.does that sound right ,this may also be 1 of my problems?
