Default explain load for me

thanks
im confused about load, anyway i think its load... just never understood a few thangs..

why does a car not build boost in neutral?
why does a highboost car boost more in higher gears than lower gears?
why does the vtec kick of jun3's or toda c's only felt in gear? if you rev the car in neutral just as slow you wont hear as loud of a vtec crossover....

anyways, if you guys could help me out im just curious about this
thanks again

Sure it can.

why does a highboost car boost more in higher gears than lower gears?
Spool time.

why does the vtec kick of jun3's or toda c's only felt in gear?
Resistance against the motor = load!

1st - there was just a big topic about this, and people said that the car should not build boost in neutral (not over 2-3psi)

2nd - spool time doesnt make much sense to me either, shouldnt 8k rpm produce the same boost levels regardless of the gear???

i need more in depth info please and thanks

builds more boost in higher gears because the engine cannot accelerate as fast
which gives boost time to build up

you wont notice vtec sitting still because unless you have a vtec controller vtec
wont even activate

yep, a pre-requisite for vtec activation is a vehicle speed of 20mph I believe on my pw0 ecu.
