Default Experience with 20g turbo??

Whats up guys, pretty much like the title states I searched but could only find information in the DSM forums, Basically want to know if anyone has ever used the 20g Tdo6 turbo on a b-series motor, In specific the b16a. Any information or experience would be helpful. Thanks
G.

For your Info:
Built block
CP pistons
Eagle rods
10:6.1 compression
springs +retainers

You guys get the idea, shooting for 450whp

my friend has one on his 2.0 wrx.. there is some lag on it cuz his car is a 2.0, but once it hits boost it takes off. i don't know how well it would do on a b16, but i would imagine it should be alright since b16's rev so much higher than wrx engines

I personally wouldnt use one for 450whp let alone on a B16.

You can get a whole bunch of variants to the 20G, with many different exhaust wheels. I believe there are also two different compressor housings. I am going to try one on my race car. I will probably be comparing two different exhaust wheels and housings just to note the difference. I don't think it would be too bad for your car, its worth a shot to try it out.

absolutly, especially for the price, got it BRAND new for 400, which is definatly cheaper than a turbonetics/garrett Should make a bit more power too, Ill post dyno sheets when i get them.

It depends on what exhaust housing and what wheel you are running.

The DSM Mitsubishi 20G variant has a TD06 exhaust housing, which is roughly a little smaller in size than a T3 .63 A/R hotside. Greddy's 20G is slightly different and the specs are sketchy.

The spool on a B16a should be similar to a 50 trim t3/t4, so 4-4.5k ish? But since every motor responds differently, try it and find out!

I had two DSMs both with 20g's. One was a 2.0 w/ a 10cm housing and it spooled around 3500 and pulled hard to redline. The other was on a 2.3 w/ a ported 7cm housing and spooled around 22-2500 and still pulled hard til redline.
I don't know if I'd recommend one on a b16 tho (or anything less than a 2.0), it'd probably spool way too slow for your liking.
