I go to the dealership to get some new exhuast mani nuts they wanted 30 bucks for one nut. Now I know they are heat treated or whatever but my question is what size are these nuts and can I just use a lock washer and nut or will it weld to the mani were has everybody went to get new ones?

You can get stainless ARP studs and nuts for that price.

ARPs are stainless?

Stainless hardware mixed with heat sucks. It gauls so easily. I deal with it all the time because hot rod guys want everything shiny but forget you might have to work on it at somepoint.
