Default Is this even real??

I was wondering if there is any type of fuel management for a 99 civic si that would provide fuel whenever it detected that the engine needs more fuel? Something that's kind of like plug n play fuel management. Just wondering.
thanks in advance.

You want a Paxton or Aeromotive. Just make sure you get injectors. All you set is base fuel pressure, and your in the good.

I think he means how like J&S safegaurd is to timing....how it detects denotation and adjusts the timing accordingly. He want's something that detects the a/f ratio and adjusts the fuel accordingly.....right?

You could get a Motec ECU with a wideband O2 sensor and run it closed-loop under all conditions. Might have to sell your car to buy it though...

If you are talking about an ECU that you can plug in an run with as little tuning as possible, You have to spend the money. Only two systems I know are Autronic and MoTec.

And SpeedPro/FAST

Others standalones will run closed loop WOT with a wideband, they will just not rewrite the fuel maps based on what it finds.

You might want to look into some AIC's. Additional Injector Controllers. I believe you can program them to turn the secondary injectors at a certain rpm/boost pressure/etc.

As for reliability, I have no idea. No one here seems to use them?

I have wondered this myself. Why is it that we rely on maps in open loop? I know stock O2's are only accurate around stoich but how hard would it be to make one that was only accurate around 12.5:1 and instead of going into open loop, switch to that O2 to maintain 12.5:1 instead of 14.7:1? I suppose maybe only a wideband O2 sensor would be able to react fast enough under a WOT situation to keep up? Just thinking.

Ya, the standard O2 sensor takes too long to report back what the O2 content is. It's like over a second. Your car will blow up before it realizes you need more fuel.
