Alright, I thought everything was running perfectly, then WHAM. Suddenly the car bogs so much. It can barely go up a slight upgrade without the EGT shooting toward 1400F. It used to never go above 1250F boosting like a madman. Now I'm in vacuum and going about 40mph, and it shoots up. The car barely moves, and it bogs.
Idling now, the car is above 1000F, which is where it should be crusing at 70mph or so.
At first, I thought the inline Airtex helper pump was defective, causing a bottleneck in the fuel flow. I bypassed it, and it worked...for about 5 minutes. Then back to the same deal.
Put it back on, and it worked....for another 5 minutes. So now it's off again and no go.
Starting from a standstill is a nightmare, the car bucks like there's no tomorrow.
What could it be guys?? (I have a Drag Gen III kit...no extras like Tial, BC, etc).
Thanks, sorry for the long post.

You may want to make sure that both fuel pumps are running.
One thing to note, is that you may need to change the fuel filter.
You may want to check and see if the injectors are within spec (don't know the number right off the top of my head)
Honestly, it has to be in fueling. Start with the factory pump and work you way up to the auxiliary pump.
If you've tried this, then you may want to see if the fuel pressure regulator is messing you up as well.
I'm sorry I don't have more detialed diagnostics ideas, but I hope this helps.

The fuel filter was just changed. New plugs were put in today.
I'm going to check the fuel lines and delivery system tomorrow. What else could be causing something like this?
The car would be so slow...then when I finally stop at a light or something, I'd smell gas. Not exhaust, but liquid gas. There isn't any visible leak anywhere. The idle would also be way high...about 1.5Krpm.
This would only happen once I hit boost. If the car is cold, it will drive fine...until I hit boost, then I'm hit. It would seem like it's running rich because it would start backfiring. However, the EGT temps say otherwise....rising to 1400F almost instantly as soon as I start moving. Crazy stuff!!
Grr!!

You might want to check the FMU. Just take the fuel line off the fmu and put it back on the stock fuel regulator. Drive around and see if that works. You may have a bad fmu.

No smoke out of the breather....lucky me. My friend who put in the kit, disassembled the FMU and it looked fine. One of the o-rings expanded, but he put a new one in. Same problems still.
He said it could be the stock fuel pump. It might be crapping out since it's the oldest part in the fuel system....115K miles. And now that I'm boosting, and have the inline pump as well, too much stress might be put on it. What do you think?
